SAVCA
is an association devoted to promoting the venture capital and private
equity profession in Southern Africa. It represents the profession on
both the national and international level. By collecting and
circulating information to and from markets and members, SAVCA
contributes to the management development of invetors and portfolio
companies. Additionnally, SAVCA provides the relevant authorities with
proposals for improvement in the corporate, fiscal and legal
environment for venture capital and private equity in southern Africa. The
Association's activities include promoting self regulation, Lobbying
for the industry, disseminating information and publicity, arranging
training for the staff of its members and conducting industry research
in South Africa.

AVCA is a not-for-profit entity founded to
promote, develop and stimulate private equity and venture capital in
Africa. AVCA is committed to promoting high ethical standards of
business conduct and professional competence in the private equity and
venture capital industries. The African Venture Capital Association

Council of Microfinance Equity Funds
(CMEF)
 The Council
of Microfinance Equity Funds is the first membership organization
bringing together the leading private entities that make equity
investments in microfinance institutions (MFIs) in the developing
world. The Council’s members seek both social and financial returns
from their investments in these institutions, all of which provide a
range of financial services to poor households in developing
countries.
