Lisa Lambie

Managing Director, Cordiant Capital Inc.

Lisa is currently Managing Director at Cordiant Capital Inc., a global emerging market asset management fund. Lisa is responsible for Africa investments and has over 15 years of experience in corporate finance structuring, private equity advisory, and capital markets execution with US$ 28 billion in financing closed to date, including 13 private equity transactions.

Prior to Cordiant, Lisa was Head of Distribution for Sub-Sahara Africa at Barclays / Absa Capital, the capital markets execution arm for corporate and private equity transactions. In this role, Lisa was instrumental in building the team and strategy, and with product responsibility for mezzanine, bonds, hybrids, syndicated loans, equity private placement, structured credit derivatives, and foreign exchange. Lisa’s extensive emerging market experience includes the creation and building  of the Corporate Finance franchise and related capital market relationships at NCB, the initial platform for AIC’s Caribbean private equity initiative.

Prior to Barclays, Lisa was a Principal at Bank of America Securities in London responsible for senior EMEA private equity coverage (primarily Blackstone and Clayton, Dubilier & Rice relationships), acquisition finance structuring and execution; and financial sponsor debt capital markets at JP Morgan.

Lisa started her career in finance with Deloitte & Touche Canada, before spending several years under TS contract to the U.S. Pentagon.

Lisa holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania), and a Bachelor of Sciences in Civil Engineering and Operations Research from Princeton University.
